Kannupriya Garg, the proud owner of the sophisticated and refined abode in the plush area of Panchkula. Kannupriya is the owner of a renowned Hotel Pallavi West and she has invested her lot of time and energy in building her dream house. While talking to Kannupriya Garg, we asked her about herself she said, “I come from a family with hospitality and logistics background, married into a family of poultry farmers. I have been a national level badminton player and have recently taken it up again. This has been and remains my biggest passion. I have just got involved with my father’s Falcon cafe lounge which we have refurbished and opened”.
Giving her take on ideal homes she shared, “An ideal home should be built around the needs & personality of the people living in it and not the other way round”.
She added, “My family is what makes my home. Having a loving family around which we stay alongside in the thick and thin is what makes an ideal home in my opinion. Having dinner together with a peaceful atmosphere, full of love, laughter and light is a perfect and ideal home”.
The house is stretched over an area of 11000 sq. feet approximately and the theme of the house is subtle, utilitarian and chic.
“My children, my family and their needs have been my inspiration to make this abode a warm and beautiful place to live in. The only other influence is being simplicity, I like simple things. These are the inspirational factors involved in building this abode. Also I took few ideas from design magazines and incorporated throughout the world is what the house is made of, mix of trinkets and furniture”, shared the lovely lady.
Much attention was paid at the preparation stage and to get complete clarity of thoughts before they began to build the mansion. Kannupriya equipped, “It took almost 2 years to conceptualize and built this abode but the best part is that it was completed in the way I wanted”.
The overall theme of the house is a contemporary mix. Warm wood tones run throughout the house, which gives a very warm and unique feel.
Kannupriya said, “I love woodwork in the house and that is the USP of our house. Comfort is what matters to me the most and simplicity is our go-to mantra. We try to incorporate a homely feel to everything. I didn’t want anything precious and gaudy”.
Every single piece in their abode is exclusive and a memorable possession. Every brick of the house and every corner of the house tell its own story. Kannupriya said, “We tend to pick something or the other from whenever we go. The furniture of the house is different and stylish. The bathrooms are Villeroy and Boch”.
The canal house has been made in a duplex style with a dining area, drawing room, living room, guest room, party room and master. The Kids room theme is safe and ample storage and master bedrooms are cosy and comfortable whereas the master bedroom is stylish in its own way.
Talking about the most loved place in the house, Kannupriya expressed, “Living room is like the artery of the house, always throbbing with activity. I believe that anyone having a chance to sit and enjoy would appreciate it as much as we do”.
Kannupriya loves to have guests at her place and definitely she is the most welcoming host. Kannupriya said, “We like our home to feel like open arms and for the guests to feel at home”.
